MOHAWK VALLEY DANCE THEATRE
Student Drop-Off & Pick Up Policies
MVDT (Mohawk Valley Dance Theatre) students should be dropped off no earlier than 10 minutes prior to the start of class, and should be picked up promptly at the end of classes. Because of safety & privacy concerns, all Minis, Youth, & Teen/Adult/Advanced Classes are drop-off classes only. Parents wishing to enroll a child in a class where they can be present, and even participate in class, should choose one of our KinderGym or Little Minis programs, designed specifically for young children who need parental assistance.
Please do not leave children at the studio who are not participating in classes at that time. We are unable to supervise additional children who are not part of our program.
We will not, under any circumstances, allow young children to leave the studio unattended (without an adult). Students 12 and older may have a parent complete a waiver allowing them to leave the studio unsupervised. If we do not recognize you when you come to pick up a child, we may ask for your identification. Please have your photo ID with you in case it is needed.
Please be reminded that all of these policies are for the privacy and safety of our students, as well as the security of our studio. If you have any questions specific to these policies, you may contact our director, Shanna Becker at email@example.com or by phone at (518) 900-2789. Any parents wishing to volunteer in the studio or work with the children will be subject to a criminal background check. Please apply at the studio in person to be considered.
A parent/family observation week is held twice annually (October and March) for parents to visit children while they are in class. This is a great opportunity to see how the children are growing and learning without impeding the learning process, or causing any concern for privacy or safety.
Your information is private and will be treated as such. We will not sell, rent or trade your personal information to any third party. Special care will be taken to protect the privacy and security of your information.
We will not share your child's photos or videos from classes publicly without asking for permission. We ask for the same courtesy from our studio families. Please do not publicly share photos or videos of other children taken during classes without consent.
Public events, such as recitals, parades, competitions or master classes/conventions, and other performances are of course an exception to this rule as participation in public events applies as consent.
